In exchange for 3 hours work (when it's not too hot of course) and the small contribution of 300 baht a day (no extra charges), we can offer you three wholesome and tasty meals cooked over fire in the local Thai and Lanna styles, clean drinking water straight from the mountains, and a private hut built by one of the volunteers. Also, we provide the unbeatable experience of living and learning in a traditional Lanna family with other like-minded people from all over the world..
All we ask is that you telephone or email a day or two before you wish to arrive so we can advise you on transport and answer any further questions you may have.

- Forest survival skills, to help you if you get lost in the forest. Such as what to eat, where to find clean water, how to make a shelter and what to do if a ghost comes to you in the night.
- Building natural and sustainable structures from bamboo, mud and other materials in the local style.
- Using many different types of meditation to develop your spiritual powers to concentrate and manage energy, with Pee Nam Jim who has over 16 years practicing experience.
- Buddhist Philosophy and Pali texts.
- Thai language, history and culture.
- Coffee production - how to grow, pick, roast and drink fresh coffee!

WHAT TO BRING
- A good pair of shoes (that you don't mind getting dirty)
- Bring something warm like a sweater and a sleeping bag (should you have one) in the cooler months (October-February) as it gets chilly at night.
- A headlamp or flashlight.
- Mosquito repellent.
- There is no ATM in Pang Term village, the nearest one is in the small town of Samoeng. From Happy Healing Home, there is only one bus a day that leaves at 6.30 am for Samoeng and returns approx 2.30/3pm, so for your convenience please make provisions before you come.
- There are two small shops in the village where you can buy basic supplies, but if you require something specific it may be best if you bring it with you.
- Bring a smile and an open mind!
